    Default LPG Problem, Won't Idle

    Hey all...

Trying to get gas running again so i can in term put my gas research system on.. But I've replaced my converter with a new LG A1 replacement Impco one & i've even replaced my Impco mixer an still no luck..

If i have car running on petrol at about 2000rpm then switch to gas gas will run but it will not idle at all... It won't start on gas aswell...

Taken it to LPGAS1 & some other gas joint & neither could find the issue..

    Any ideas?!?!?!?

    Cheers

check the hose between the converter and the mixer i had a tiny crack in the spiral wound pipe and it was doing exactly what your car was doing.

is it running well on fuel, and im not sure how you would check on a commodore but is the inlet mannifold leaking, gas realies on vacume and idleing is the hardest thing for it to do, did it backfire because that can **** the diaphram in the mixer, and is the gas mixture too lean cause that causes simular problems, gas is great when it works but crap when its wrong good luck

another thing . my original computer has a gas chip fitted. i had computer problems so swapped it with the spare one i had in the shed. started the car on petrol ran like a dream changed over to gas and it ran like a p.o;s. would not idle or run for that matter, it just coughed and spluttered. so changed the chip to original gas one and everything worked. mechanic said the original should have read the gas as another fuel and adjusted itself, but it didn't.
so whether this is your problem ????????.

i had the hose from the power valve to the mixer come off on me last night and my car stalled...it wouldnt start on gas at all...just fired up and stalled. reconnected the pipe and runs again.

the gas systems have a safety feature for example when the hose came off the power valve last night it somehow senses it and shuts the gas system off; no gas getting pumped through.

    my 2c, hope it helps
