just woundering if any one could let me no if there is any other wise of getting the most out of my v6. cheers
some sports leads, good spark plugs, change n flush ur oil, change ur fuel filter, run some injector cleaner through her, get a decent cai vs one is fine, a lukey or k&n air filter, extracotrs, high flow cat, nice exhaust system, colder thermostat, check your throttle butterfly opens up 100% and a tune. then u have things like roller rockers, cam, forced induction ect... ect..
what temperature thermostat would you put?
i run an 80c
i run a 91c thermostat as it actually gives better performance and economy....the colder you go the more fuel you will use
normal operating temp is between 90-100 degrees
so what do you guys recommend for the best performance and enconomy?
i shouldve stated, that im actually runing a supercharged motor, hence the slightly cooler thermostat.

i asked for the best performance and economy smartass no need to say i need gas for economy when im pretty much asking for the best overall temperature thermostat, has nothing to do with it
To make your car go fast:
Headers/Exhaust (single 2 1/2" sports system should do)
Leads/plugs
Cold air
Corvette servo (auto only)
tune
blower
intercooler

how was it helpful? i didnt gain anything from it, i asked for a good temperature thermostat?
Well I had to re-read your posts about 5 times to figure out what you were meaning. First 4 reads just looked like you were paying out on peoples suggestions. The 5th read looked like that too but then I realized post #7 was talking about your thermostat and not "performance and economy" in general. Be clear and don't get ****ty when others don't immediately realize what you mean. If you keep your attitude somebody will ban your pranksta ass right out of here.

You should really start by adjusting your Flux Capacitor to gain the most performance.![]()
yer watever, so can anyone tell me the best temperature thermostat to run?
the stock thermostat unless your in extreme hot conditions all the time. go a colder plug, cai, exhaust, tune, shift kit, diff gears and youll be more than pleased.
best power is a stage 3 cam, ported heads, big bore throttle body with the elbow port matched, extractors, cold air intake then the usual tune i chew my 17 inch wheels like no tomorro without trying
i think he wants the most out of what hes already got.
best not to worry and save up for sumthing better
thanks guys, ive got a manual with an exhaust, greenfoam tune and a vs v8 cai intake but i want to get a v6 sc one as it looks to be alot bigger and flow more, looks like ill just get the stock thermostat
thanks
paul
hehe get a rip shift they are fun, ive had my vn 5 speed for nearly 8 years now, looks like a bucket but only needs a paint. vs v6 cai look alot better for even more acceration chuck on a pod filter
get a crs blower. cheapest way to make power out of these things
