Car cutting out in gear, need quick advice

Basically ill put the car into reverse and idle out of my driveway, ill stop, put it into drive and go off. Lately while ive been reversing sometimes if cuts out. The electrics stay on, but power steering goes and the engine shuts off.

Checked all the liquids (engine oil, P.S, etc etc) and everything seems to be at the right level.

My steering wheel has felt "loose", in the best way i can describe it, but unsure if thats connected to the problem.

Any suggestions on what it could be? Or what i should check to narrow things down?

take the intake piping off the throttle body and give the idle control motor a blast with carby cleaner.

TPS - Thorttle position sensor.
That the reason ours does it.

Took it to the mechanic, said water is getting in when its cold causing it to run so bad til it warms up. Unfortunately im tired and forgotten where its getting in, he said water is getting under the gasket.

I have the car back for the weekend, got told to take it back in Monday to recheck how its going. Im guessing it cant be too serious then if i have the car back for the weekend.
