Wow, i bought a whole VN Exec V6 manual for $1000, sounds cheaper, then just flog your old motor off for profit.

Are you talking about S1 Manual flywheel to S1 auto and swap them?
I thought that the crank on the auto is longer or shorter than the manuals even if you changed the flywheel, and the bolts are wider on a manual S1 flywheel.

You Need the adaptor plate that mischa wrote about to change the bolt pattern
series one both auto and manual have 6 bolts just both in a different configuration/

Yeah i need the adaptor and flywheel, but i think for now i might leave it until my tax return clears. I spotted an ecotec v6 and 5 speed combo i like............
I like the buick motors, but the ecotec's are much smoother and as far as i have seen, most of the more hardcore v6 upgrades are for ecotec only, or much more expensive for the Buick's.
I would welcome all suggestions and opinions regarding this as far as other changes to fit this combo, such as tail-shaft, exhaust etc .

You only need the adapter OR flywheel from CRS. But if you use the adapter you need a 6 bolt flywheel.

All you need then is to get a S1 6 bolt flywheel, wavez has got one.

Thanks again for the help fellas! I've decided to go with an auto, upgraded to corvette servo's, h/duty bands, stage 2 shift kit, full manual valve body + ratchet shifter, much easier and still within my budget for a transmission. Suggestions? Comments? I'm very much a newby so any input by you guys is really appreciated

    Cheers again!
    Matt.
