Default Need help with front struts on vp berlina 93

Hey new to forum and I'm having trouble with front struts on my vp berlina 93. I have removed strut assembly from car and compressed springs but I cant undo the top strut bearing nut, It just turns and turns, I can supply some pics if needed of where I'm at on the situation.

    Can anyone help me?

have u got an air-compressor??? its much easier to do it that way??
or, {i know its bodgy, but it does work bloody well}..u can use a set of vise-grips on the very top of the shock near the bearing plate.
dont grip it too tight, as u will scar the shock....u need to grip it at the very top under the bumpstop if u can get to it...
if all else fails, take it to a tyre shop tomorrow, and they should be able to take it apart for ya...
    hope this helps out...

much easier just to back the nut off when the strut is still on the car

jack the car up from the ball joint by doing this you will put the whole preasure from the car on it and you will be able to tighten it up without it spinning.
