I started the car today and the car stalled and i didnt think nothing of it, then went for a drive and it stalled at the lights so i took it home and checked the computer cause the engine light came on when i was driveing the car, and it came up with a code 42 electronic spark timing circuit, so can any1 help me with my problem thanx

could be anything from a loose wire to your coilpack and/or module most likely, ive never seen a cas problem with code 42 showing up but you never know.
i change the coil pack thinking it was the problem another time when it played up so this coil pack should be fine, the CAS is 1 year old still pretty new, the car just turns over when i turn the key on but it doesnt fire, i remember on my old VN it had a earth from under the coilpack bracket to the body of the car, it doesnt have 1 on this one, i dout that would be the problem tho,

also did a spark test on cylider's 135, nothing on any of them at all, i'm pretty sure the coil pack is fine, and CAS isnt old at all and looks in good nick, i'm thinking wiring, near the computer there is wires cut and soldered with other wires i think its for the alarm, dunno if that is the problem but yeah, also changed computers and it cleared the codes but still the same problem.![]()
