Does anybody know of a product available in oz that i can use to clean my injectors?
Apparently there are ones were you hook them up to the fuel rail and run the engine. That is what i would like not the intank treaments.
Thanks Guys.
whats the difference really?
Apparently the in tank method is a weak mix of chemicals so the do not eat everything away and the rail method is concerntrated and much more effective.
It runs the engine on straight solvent for a brief period and can remove carbon deposits aswell.
it would be better in the long run to just get them professionally cleand as that way they will test them and make sure there serviceable...no use going to all that trouble if one or a few are stuffed....just wack injector cleaner in the tank...if you are really worried wack another in but be careful as they say not to use it more then 3 (or 5) times between oil changes
also run a good fuel like premium but a good brand while useing injector cleaner as some types of fuel have this cleaning agent in them already. just to give the cleaner the extra boost :P
UltraTune will do a full injector clean...not sure on price just for that, but getting it done with a service its $130 from memory..thats the all up.
200km from ultra tune.
Try a couple of tanks of 98 octane. That should do the job and perhaps give you a slight increase in performance and economy to boot.
