    Angry B O O T S P R I N G ! Help

the vn i have has always only ever had one boot spring since i bought it.
which means the boot doesn't stay up,, very annoying.
got a spring from the wreckers today,, easy to get, as it don't matter what ya brake in the process.
well ya think i can get the mongrel in,,, any hints,,, ideas or secrets how to get it in be much apreciated,
don't really want to pay a panel beater to do it, but at the moment i am seriously considering it.

climb in the boot with a torch and close the boot but not all the way so you can manouvere the boot spring around. should make it easier. have someone there so you dont get locked in the boot. and better still, open the ski hatch just incase.

I bent the mounting corners over so it would go in quicker - still took half an hour and some choice short words.

Me and the boot springs are not talking at the moment.

    #$@$#?&%$ boot springs.

I also suggest to people purchasing these in future, to buy them brand new from Holdens.

They're only like $6 each from holdens, and alot of wreckers tend to charge more for second hand ones that are bloody 20 years old.

I'm looking at putting the gas struts on my boot, as the springs aren't holding up the boot when it's open.

Where abouts do they get mounted to? If anyone has a picture, that's be great.

    Cheers,
    Sam

I can see that ending with someone getting trapped in the boot of their car...
