    Default VP Clubsport 5000i real or fake??????

    Hey Fellas and ladies,
    Im thinking of buying a VP Cubsport 5000i but im not sure if its the real deal, ive read on other forums and they say they only came in white and they one im looking at is metallic blue. Were there 75 made in total it says its numbered but no pics of build plate, cheers DamQik.

    I bought a trashed one not so long ago and have been down your track. My information says 50 were built. Get the VIN, engine number (should start with VK......) and hsv build. The hsv site should tell you if it is genuwhine or not.

    Other things to look for:
    "black" 4 bolt main 200KW motor. The engine no will be VKxxxxxx.
    GTS style seats with big bolsters (They have HSV embroidered in them). Check out Reapers Performance Warehouse for pictures of the seats/door trims.
    330mm VN Grp A/VP GTS front brakes (twin spot calipers)
    280mm VN Grp A/VP GTS ventilated disks on the rear + calipers to suit

    I don't think blue was a factory color and at best I suspect it will have been re-sprayed (if it is real at all).

    i think blue might have been factory? and i dont think they got all the extra group a parts though?
    im probably wrong. was a 5000i different to a normal clubby?

    As per my post. (I have most of 1 still in my garage). The 5000i was a souped up clubby. Pretty much all that is missing from a GpA is the 6 speed and TTB.

    ooh ok. always thought the clubby was the lowest of the hsvs

    thanks guys, im thinkin it could well have been thrashed to because of the price im going to look at a VT Calais v8 on saturday any probs you know of them would help out . cheers

    yeh apparently what ive been told there were 75 made and 15 went to NZ

    It is the lowest, BUT this is the 5000i, the one and only model.
