Default Front bars - VP GTS and VN GrpA

Are the VP GTS and VN GrpA front bars the same?? SSV lists different part numbers, and the only difference I can think of would be in the grille area, the GrpA looks to be cut a bit lower into the bar. The reason I'm asing is I want to end up with the VP GTS front on my VN and I'm not sure if I the GrpA will be exactly the same.

Yeah I thought that too, they do look very similair almost identical but im sure they would have different part names, even if they are identical.
Seems odd that say a VP GTS would have the bar known as VN group A ?

Although they look the same I'm sure there would be mounting differences to suit the different guards.

    BINGO!

VN and VP front bars are NOT interchangeable!

You can fit a VP to a VN i think but VN doesnt fit a VP at all... there is a massive gap under the head lights.

The VP GTS bar is the VP version of the VN Group A.

They are differnet, make sure you get what you need.

no kidding.... I did not know that. The grill cutouts are the same in both bars though right?? I want the VP GTS look for my VN, so I'll need a VN GrpA front bar and a VP GTS grille (there are a few sizes of letterbox grille I think so I'd better get the proper one..) Also don't want to have a wrong sized gap under the grille

Sound about right? VN and VP grilles mount up the same don't they??

Nah, i'm pretty sure the sides of the VP grilles are different to the sides of the VN griles due to a slight difference in slanting on the ends of the headlights.

dammit this plan is going downhill fast... maybe a full VP front end conversion is in order guards, lights, GTS bar and grille

I'm revising my plan as we go... this will tie in well with my master plan: buy a VP Calais and put all the good bits from my VN onto that.

    VP Calais
VP GTS front bar and grille
    VN Aero sides
    VN Group A rear bar
VN SS or GrpA spoiler - not sure yet

    Sound like a better plan?

nup aero sides are very very cool. I'd just do the full kit and then add the door moulds from the aero, but they won't fit.

I have aero kitted VG with a sv front on and dont like it too much.... poor student lol, a gprA bar would be fine or a VS senator bar probaly would suit.

the thing with the aero sides is they are a very smooth kit so you need a smooth style bar to match.... not the sv kit it sticks out like dogs nuts but it was that or a vz bar i had in the shed and i would rather stick to stock vn than do that

!! A VS front bar never suits VNs!! Square car, round bumper... all wrong

Got any photos of your ute you could put up??

And I will not be deterred... Aero sides and VP GTS front and rear (with GrpA spoiler) is the way it will be

sure, is and old photo - has changed a bit now,

and heres a vr random i found on the net..... i dont think that front bar looks too bad on a vn.... much much better than the vt-vz kits everywhere

but i think a grpA front would look pretty ok.... nothing will compare to an aero bumper though i just wish i could find one that deosnt require me to sell a kidney, and the company that made my kit has long thrown their moulds out,

lol nope...... but i had the same front and factory vz side skirts cut to fit on this ute to start with, then scored the sv front and rear...... then the aero sides and rear.....

no offence but i just dont like those kits on anything but the model they were designed for.

    also heres some more
