cruise control off V6 to fit V8

hi there, im having a few problems with my cruise control, an was just wondering ...

If i were to try a cruise control module off a V6, then would it work on my 5L? Im thinkin of trying one to hopefully eliminate some of my problems, but need to know if it will work out before i go sourcing one. Cheers

Hmm not sure mate i doubt the modules are any different but not sure if the cable can be changed as the v6 would be a shorter. I have a v8 unit here i might consider parting with for a good price if your desperate

V6's cables are shorter and using a module meant for a v6 in a v8 might cause some jerking
when speeding up compared toa v8 module

hhhmmm yeh. The cable wont be an issue ... i got the right one for the V8 an its all fitted ect. I was just thinkin of changing the unit itself. Maybe its a job for an auto elec ...
