    Default temperature sensor location for thermo on a vn v8

    my thermos good checked relay and fuse but doesnt kick in the only other thing im thinkin it could be is the sensor?

    Thermo's? did you wire them up to the standard relay in the engine fuse box?
    If so that function is for v6's you need someine like greenfoam to write it into your memcal for them to come on.

    o yeah sweet mate yeah i just took me condenser out as the a/c is rooted and thought id put the thermo that was on it to good use
    yeah i thought it would be the same as my v6 sorta setup
    do you reckn i should jus hook it up to the main power with a switch or do the memcal
    thanx for the info

    The thermo for your air conditioner is totally inadequate for the total cooling of your car. If you want to remove your clutch fan then get yourself an AU thermo fan and hook it up like here: Reapers Black VP SS Post #142

    aww na still got me clutch fan just thoght it would help a bit in the warmer weather
    or do you think its pointless?

    pretty much pointless i would just remove it more of a hindereance than a help

    The thermo fan on V8's does come on when the engine temp. is very high, as an auxilliary fan. Under normal operating temps., particularly so in winter, it will be off.

    There is some discussion of when it does come on in the 'How To' on fitting a (manual) switch to a thermo fan, a few pages in.

    Wont help the clutch fan, wate of time, if your car has heating issues I would look elsewhere, radiator flush and thermostat.
