I have a VP Wagon V6 Non IRS. Im wrecking a VL commodore with new peders suspention with lowered springs. Would the VL suspention fit the VP Wagon.
i would think no

The whole front sub-section (crossmember, struts, steering rack, rotors etc etc...) Will just unbolt out of your VN and the VL one will bolt straight in no probs. I Just did this conversion for my mate who did it to put in a RB25 twin turbo (VG30's) out of an r33, It was easier to do this than cut and refabricate/position the engine mounts to suit. Yeah yeah rice i know but at least its in a commodore and doesnt have a cannon! But yeah not sure about rear suspension, I wouldnt think so...... Lemme know if you wanna know how its done.

much of the rear suspension is the same but the real question is are thery both wagons?
sedans have slightly different rear suspension.
the vn's suspension & floorpan was taken straight from the vl, it is exactly the same.
if the vl is sedan, only front mcpherson stuff can be swapped over.
i stand corrected

the vl and vp suspension is the same, however, the rotors and calipers are different sizes, so u need to retain the vp rotors/calipers!!!!
unbolt the top bearing plates, and balljoints, then change over.......
i have done the same to my vn, using my old vp suspension that was in my vl and put it in my vp...[ using the vp rotors/calipers as they are much better brakes]
Well the VP may be slightly bigger but the difference is very negligable for the effort. My mate has no problem pulling up with the VL conversion & disc brake rear and we left the VL discs n calipers on. But its up to your personal choice mate![]()
