    Default Cruise Control

Howdy i know there is plenty of threads about cruise control but i cant find anything about wiring it up without using the loom. I have the switches on my dash installed, i have brake switches and the actual cruise module with the cable.

What i want to know is, are there wires behind the dash or in the engine bay that i can use to connect to the module or do i have to run all new wires?? Becuase the switches on the dash plug straight into where the old switches are. i know of the plug that is in the engine bay in some models but i dont have it in mine. I have a series 1 vn exec by the way.

The reason i ask is because i cant seem to find a loom with the cruise control plug in it already.

    Thanks for any help.

I may have access to a CC loom. I'll call them tomorrow.

Ok Yes he has one - I'll grab it off in Friday arvo. He will look up the price of it for me - but wont be all that much. It is a new factory Holden loom used to retro fit cruise at dealerships. I can solder pins on the green & white wire so you can plug straight into the back of the main dash plugs. Then you have the earth (goes near the battery) & brake switch wires and the 4 wires that go to the switch block. Also I can put 4 pins on tham also if you like.

Then it's just a small hole/grommet into the fire wall for the loom to go through and you are done.

Some how I only had 3 pins (4 needed) for the switch block plug. Just dunno - the 4th pin is Gone. The green & White have pins for the 2 dash connectors.

Problem is I wont be back to the wreckers until next Friday. (to get a plug off a loom to scab a pin out of.

99.9% done. Never mind. I'm taking some VN Calais rims & tyres down to the wreckers next Friday - I'll get it done early so I can make the arvo post for you.
