Hey guys im currently building a worked n/a v6 for my vr however its a vp v6 engine. Long story short u may remeber a while back a fella by the user name chamra1 on another forum he built a vp v6 all top of the line parts which spat out 183rwkw n/a and 330 on nos. He sold it not long after and the new owner soon destroyed the rod bearings, with no money to fix it he stripped the motor and sold all parts minus the rods pistons and block to me. I also purchased the complete ecu which was tuned to suit the motor using kalmaker street pro 3. This was done by chip control. Minus the nos, my combo will be very similar so i figured the tune may only need a tweak and save me alot on tuning costs. However i'm now in a big debate as to whether i should use the kalmaker vp ecu or get my current vr manual ecu tuned as it is a more modern and superior ecu. Will it make any difference? What would you reccomend i do? Can i fit the vp memcal to the vr ecu? On a side note i fitted the complete vp kalmaker ecu to the vr as an experiment it started and ran ok other than sum slight pinging and odd idle.
Many thanks appreciate any help you can give me
dan
The ecus are the same apart from the serial output speed but you wont need to care about that
Can i fit the vp memcal to the vr ecu < in the manuals, yes
