vn v8 block with C VU Prefix Can anyone help

I have brought a 304 bottom end to rebuild for my vn ss.
But the engine number has a C in front of the VU Some help would be great.
So basicly the engine number looks like this C VUXXXXXX

One of the true Holden mystries. Some say they were replacment blocks for crook engines. But they were all built in a short run of engine serial numbers and stuck into the VQ's Caprices.

There's also some S VU prefixes that went into the VQ Statesmans
