    Default code 13 oxygen sensor

    heya gus and gals i am sorta new to this but my vp s2 has been running like a dog lately and i checked the fault code's and came up with code 13 ...


    would code 13 cause the car to idle fine but as soon as u try to drive it it run's like it's only on 3cylinder's i have checked everything i can ... and still lost in the dilemma ....

    misses and carry's on like a old b***H

    The O2 sensor reports to the ECU the gases on the way out and makes adjustments on that. If the car is carring on like a pork chop, I'd start by testing the coils/DFI unit, replace the O2 sensor & check the TPS.

    Also your leads can brake down under load - like it will drive fine on the flat - but hit a small hill and the car starts to miss when you put your foot down. Change leads.

    Look at the black box that your leads connects to, now the 'squashed' piece thats bolted underneath the black box is the dfi unit, its apart of the electrical system in other words.

    Basicly it hands out the zap to the spark plugs.

    If this stops working the car is kuput. Located as stated ^^^ above.
