Default Cruise Control

I'm having problems with the cruise control in my vp calais, maybe its me not knowing how to use it or its broken.

O.K, So i get to my desired speed (60) and i press the cruise control on/off button and the little green light on the button comes on, i take my foot off the accelerator and it starts losing speed and then wont speed back up.

Should a light come on the dash or anything when CC is on and is their anything else i have to press that im not doing?

Thanks guys.

press the on button, then press the + once and it will maintain speed. hold it down until you reach 100 or so, then release it.

you can accelerate and it still stays activated, but as soon as you put the foot on the brake itll turn itself off.

The light comes on in the dash (CRS) when the electrical side is working.

I'd check the cable.

After the green light is on, I press SET (-) to engage the Cruise control and then CRS light comes on. When cruising and it comes off, press RES (+) to re-engage it.

You need to turn it on so you see the green light. Look carfully at the buttons and one is called "set-coast". Press it and the orange light will come on the dash and it is now set.

If you want to speed up, press the "acc-reset" button while on cruise. If you press the brake to slow down, the want to reset the cruise to where you were before, you can simply press the "acc-reset" to reset the cruise to where you were.

Hold down the "set-coast" button to slow down while on cruise.

Just read your post again. Hmm. Um the little green light is when the CC system has power. (I read it as you were pressing the set button and the CRS light was on but the car was loosing speed) as in not engaging.

When you press the set button the CRS light comes on where the warning lights (indicators & high beam lights) are.

When set and CC is active you use the + or - to adjust speed. "tap" the button once should give a 1kph change up or down in speed. Press and hold the + or - will let the car coast to the required speed.
