just wanted to no if a vp computer will run a vt engine thanks kiwi
Not a chance mate
: different engine
: different gearbox
: different bloody car
however, if you're considering dropping a VT ecotec into a VP, you'll still need a VT computer I'm pretty sure![]()

Just to reinforce it, NO.
Don't listen to these noobs a vp ecu can run almost eny engine, Sammy has been driving his 202 powered Torana to work on one for weeks now. If you are putting the VT V6 into a VP using the VP gearbox it will work fine (once you get a map sensor on the VT motor). I expect that's what you want to do and so yep that's no problem
im with greeny on this one
its very possible, hozy is running a ecotec on one aswell. Im pretty sure there is a thread in the how to sections
as i told you, its my old car, yes it will run on the computer, i know this because it did run on that computer!
it's a manual trans, so controlling that is no issue
