    Default LCD dash

    Hi all,

Can anyone tell me if my dash is knackered or not? The Lcd sccreens are the only problem with it, the left one doesn't work, the middle one half works and the last one works perfectly! Is it a connection problem or to do with them little strips on the back of the dash?

It is a VQ 5.0 stato series 2.

    Cheers.................Pete!

It'll be just the trip computer inside the cluster - easy to replace.

Thanks for that, so where is this offending device located and what does it look like? I'm guessing it's in the back of the instrument cluster somewhere? Does it come as a spare part or is it a hunt down a dash thing.

Thing that p***es me off is my calais that just got written off had a perfect dash in it, god knows where it ended up!

    Cheers.................Pete!

Over time the screw holes get brittle and break away from the white body of the trip computer and the electrical connection to the lcd displays is lost so the display dissapears..that will be the problem....there is a fix with screws to secure it all together but it is a bit fiddly.
