Door locks

The electric door locks on my VN are starting to give trouble. First it was the passengers side. Didn't worry too much as I could still get in. However, now the drivers side is giving trouble.

Mechanism works but just will not unlock with the key. I took the doortrim off but could not make any headway with it. No amount of lubricant made any difference. Not sure how to get the mechanism out from the door. Any clues?

Any cures or does it need new locks?

It will be the actuator. I got the same problem. I pulled the door apart and found its the little lever on the actuator where the control arm connects to, thats connected to the arm on the key mechanism. The actuator unit isnt serviceable from memory, but i have heard of people butchering them and fixing them. But for me I cant be bothered. Il just replace it as one, one day. For now it still works despite some force. So far iv only bent one key.
