vht night shades is made for the job but is dark, very dark and you need a clear gloss over the top.
Or get some clear and tint it a little spray it on, this may be legal.

the legality if i recall is that they have to be all visible from 20 metres away, day or night.
vht do a clear coat as well, the nightshades probably specifies on the back of the can what product is best to go over the top.
    good luck with it man

If you want it pretty dark its not going to be legal, i sprayed mine pretty dark and turns out abit rough but i went over it with some polish and it fixed it all up and made it smooth
$14-$16 for the night shades and not sure on the clear i didnt use it but should be about the same and you will only need 1 can.

Its 200 metres (not sure if it was a typo pow3rslave)

Its only dark depending how you apply it. 2 Light coats should be plenty, and just get a pressure pack clear from the same place. If i do mine later today, i might do a how to for ya's.

dont use night shades man get your panel beater to spray them in 2pak...
bit of black in some clear makes them dark yet allowing maxim light to get through and they will stay shiny unlike night shades.
these are mine which i did myself and thats just parkers not brake lights which would be brighter again.

If applied correctly, nightshades is fine. Its basically what a panel beater would mix anyway, save for having a custom mix.

Mate get some red globes lol, looks good tho what prise did you pay? done properly $15 compared to getting the pro sprayed is up to you but in my opinion its a waste of money for the same results.

    my VN Berlina :)

ive tinted mine with nightshades came out perfect! 2-3 coats and still good as u only need 1 can it will have heaps in it left still

you need to sand the tails lights first with 1000-then 2000- then 3000grit wet till u get it all smooth grr took me like n hour for both :P

after ur finished make sure u clean everythings off it so theres no dirt etc.., dont know what the stuffs called, lol but i just used windex i didnt care i was just mucking around with my spare lights (came out good TO so i used them) , spray 1 coat on both.. oh yea make sure u tint both of them at the same time so they look the same!
then every 5-10mins add 2more coats let them dry for about a full day

im not sure what u do after this mite sound dumb but i never clear coated mine.. do u sand it with 3000 grit then clear coat??

my explaining mite be crap but i did my best to explain ciaooo

bit of a waste of money since you only use some of the can, but i spose its worth it

    Heres a few of mine.

If your worries about doing them too dark and being illegal, try something like these.
