It's more likely the intake gasket and you can do that yourself sure enough. So have a look at that first![]()
my mechanical apptitude is limited to about an oil change and if im feeling lucky i dont sopill the oil
id be willing to have a go tho heading out the next payday to buy a hayes manual for it to hopfully give me the heads up

EDIT: also while you are at it it is worth wile to change the injector O rings and give the manifold a good clean out with carby cleaner

i think the head gaskets are blown in my vs.. the temp guage went nuts and went over the red line. today it was stalling when i chucked it in reverse and wouldnt go fast down the road without getting real shakey, when it changed gears it was a really hard shift n the car kinda just jumped forward, then i drove it back in N with the car off n into the driveway where it wouldnt start again. i also noticed the coolant in the radiater was bubbleing alot while the car was off .. any ideas what could be? and what are some 100% ways to check the heads
some one want to pm me that link ha
gday mate....if you got a decent socket set and can get your hands on a torque wrench, it should be easy enough to do..i did mine last week and it took me about a week to do(few hours every day after work)...i would recommend getting your hands on a manual though just incase.hardest part of the whole proccess would have been remembering where all the hoses went so if you get that downpat...then should be smooth sailing.
