Default Wet plug, Drinking coolant, Inlet?

Hi, Well im back again. I Just changed my plugs and leads and found that they were all pretty evenly worn (lightly white) Except for the passenger side plug at the rear of the motor near the firewall. That one was DARK brown and dripping wet when i pulled it out. Also Noticed today that my car (VP V6) seems to be drinking coolant. Had lost about 3-4 litres in the last 3 weeks and its definately not leaking outside the car. Do you think it could be a head gasket or intake manifold? Thanks.

Definately not, Checked all external points & theres no visible leak. Just then i tried starting my car & it turned over twice then LOCKED up!! It was like it was seized, All the lights drained when i turned the key but no rotation. This happened for about 30 turns of the key rapidly, Then fired and ran like an absolute bucket for about 30 seconds with HEAPS of water & Steam coming out the pipe. This was after i let it sit for the weekend. Could coolant in my rear passenger piston (the one with the wet plug) Cause my motor to seize from sitting over the weekend?

Well If I was you I woudnt run it just yet. I would take the inlet manifold off and have a look, thats probably where its getting in, clean all surfaces and then put a new gasket on, new coolant and drop the oil, new plugs, then try and kick her over.

Are you sure it's coolant? I have a plug that is black which it caused by a mis-fire. The black is fuel. I'd be more inclined to give the cooling system a pressure test and also check for carbon monoxide in the coolant. Both tests should cost next to nothing at a mechanic.

just be carefull as if the leak is realy bad and you are unlucky enough to drop a heap of coolant into the piston say on startup you could have aqua lockup and may be up for a new motor.
(the engine tries to run but the water does not compess enough to allow the piston to turn over and waham you are up for a new donk.)

Definatly change the inlet gasket just to be safe.
