i think the flywheel is different. radiator, overflow tank and the piping to them. nothing else i can suggest, but i know there is more.

There are a lot of S2 changes, but most of them are contained fully within the motor. There were a few mounting changes between the trans/motor - I know the inspection plate over the driveplate was modified in S2 to bolt onto the motor with six nuts for extra stability.

The main difference is the crank-driveplate bolt pattern. If you can pick up a S2 motor with box, it will make things a lot easier

Radiator/bottles/piping is fairly cheap. Stick with the factory computer, it shouldn't have any problems.

    V6 Crankshaft Info

If its auto you will need a S2 driveplate to go with the S2 engine and S1 gearbox (have done this.

If its manual i would assume you would need a S2 (8 bolt) flywheel.

Series one doesn't have a support brace, however series 2 does. Bell housing is slightly different with the more bigger holes on the bottom for the brace etc...

If you havent converted (auto-manual), no changes in wiring from S1 - S2 (that im aware that afect what your doing)

There should be no changes to the wiring. If you find anything that doesn't quite reach, then all you have to do is cut the wire, and splice an extension in there

Mine didn't. If you DO have an issue, what's wrong with running the old S1 o2 sensor in the extractor since you're running the S1 computer?

i did the other way around. went from series 2 - series 1. and did a manual conversion at the same time. the only wires i think i changes was one at the front of the manifold and one at the back. shorten 1 wire and lengthen the other. i cant remember what they were. it was about 5 years ago now.
s2 has 3 wires and s1 has 2 wires on the o2 sensor..
don't try changing looms either as the plug are different..

Shouldn't be anything stopping you at all. If there is, it will be a minor problem, and you can just jump on here and ask us

Everything else should be straightforward. If you find that any plugs don't fit, then take the old plug out of the S1 motor and place it on the S2 motor (like the oxy sensor). But most things I can think of, from the CAS to the knock sensor should all be identical
