VP Plates

Hey guys I have some custom plates in SA which just say VP, I am thinking of selling them, what are custom plates like this worth to people? Just looking for a general idea of what to try and sell them for. Cheers.

Edit: Also, what is a real good condition T5 gearbox with Heavy Duty Clutch and stuff worth to?

Its harder to sell plates that are matched to a particular model car (i.e. just VN or just VP), especially when its a car like a VN or VP. Most people that own them, can't afford to buy expensive plates and others just don't care. Its basically selling to a limited, low socio-economic market.

But sometimes you'll find someone that wants them bad enough to pay alot for them. They're only worth what people are willing to pay. Shove them on ebay, or in the trading post and ask $800 ONO and if anyone offers something decent, take it.

Thanks for the advice man. I think my best bet with selling these is probably to find someone who has a nice project car that is a VP otherwise I might struggle a bit selling them I think.

I would consider it, but the cost to get them changed to vic plates and chance to my car would be alot more than what i would pay...

You can't transfer custom plates anyway. Vic plates are seperate to SA, which is why you see the same plate on some cars, but from different states.
