    Default Diff gears/Tune

Hey guys just been looking round the forums all night last night and dif gears and a tune came into mind.

Just wondering what everyones opinions would be on what sort of dif gears/tune i should go.

As well as costs and shops to go for?

    Cheers.

In a 5 speed, 3.45's or 3.73 which is as high as you really want to go.

Enhanced Automotive who are a site sponsor did the 3.9's in my VN. Brad is a top bloke and will look after you, so I'd suggest nobody else. He can sort out a dyno tune for you as well.

i agree with the above poster, 3.45's or 3.7's.
i had 4.11's at one stage and it was like first gear didnt exist but now i have 3.7's which is perfect imo

3.45s would be my pick in a manual.. 3.7s and 3.9s are a bit steep, will leave you doing 3000rpm on highways. Not really that great for fuel economy.

And I'd recommend a greenfoam tune as well, the bloke's a genius. Tuned my 2 cars.

Not necessarily. My 308 has a T400 trans and a 3.08 LSD and it literally does 3000rpm to do 100kph. Makes overtaking easy considering thats when the cam kicks in.

Yeah but I wasn't talking about overtaking power, of course steep gears are going to be better for that.

    F-u-e-l e-c-o-n-o-m-y

can go to **** with steep diff gears.
