    Default scrapping`

Howdy well just wondering how peoples cars go after being lowered like my car scrapes every were i go its dropped about 3 and a quarter inch's soon to be close to 4 inchs i have a sports exhaust that looks really nice and shiny from bellow because its scrapped so much, just wondering does anyone else have this problem, Plus i have a full heavy duty haymen reace tow bar

I have tryed pushing the exhaust up towards the body its self and it just stuffs it up a bit more, because everytime u revv the engine up the motor turns coursing the exhaust to turn n rub against the body, so its a no win

most cars are dropped by 2.5-3 inch.. the ones below that, are in the same boat as you.. just too low for the obsitcals the councils are putting in..

my 2 cents id keep the toe bar there saves ripping your petty tank open why dont you move ya tank into the boot and have the exhaust exit under the rear door?

yeah, i was thinking that the tow bar saves the fuel tank but i don't plan on putting side pipes on my car lol, and i dont really like the idea of petrol tank and gas tank in the boot id have no boot lol

Could always get some sacrificial sheet metal plates welded on under there to avoid damaging the catalytic converter, for example..

how about hydraulic suspension so you can raise it a little when you need to.
It's not legal in qld but may be there.
Will cost a packet though but at least you can pump it up to go out your driveway or when towing.

the cost of a bit of 2mm sheet? If you have a mate handy with a welder it'll cost you fark all. Just an idea, I haven't done it myself. Will think about it on the next car though, mainly to stop speed bumps from crimping my exhaust Y-pipe closed

When i seen the pic, I said, Wonder why it scrapping.

I lowered my old VP on SL all round, And it's not to bad, Speed humps will get it scrapping if i bounce the first one to hard, Straight down on the exhaust..
But one good thing it doesn't do is scrap with normal driving, And i have hit some bumps with some fattys in the back. Actually handles and rides 10 times better with some people in the back.

But a thing so far i have learn about the VP going to the VT, Is underneath is tucked up much better, And all you need to worry about is the scrapping of the bumpers.

    well technically
air bags on a budget could be done around 200
30 bucks for those air things that go inside the springs for towing and a bike pump for around 10 bucks
and 160 to me for the idea
lol so when you pull up to a speed hump you start pumping and up up you go
