    Default Boot Release

    Good Morning,

My poor VQ failed WRC due to boot relase not working. the previous owner removed the boot lock so it can only be opened either by remote or the relesae in the glove box.

I push the bottons and nothing happens. I am asuming its the solinid?

Does anyone know where i can find it?

when my high beams would only work sometimes i thought i the fuse was gone, except i wasn't gone it was just dirty contacts, so i cleaned it up and it was sweet.

Check the contacts on the plugs to the solenoid too. It is in the boot lid just above the latch. Sometimes the actual solenoid needs a clean out too.

Fold the centre of the back seat down and crawl into the boot and release the catch.
