Removing Exterior Door Trim

Whats the best way to remove the exterior door trims off a VN?
I am planning to replace my black executive trim with a s pack trim.
How should I go about attaching the replacement trim to the car (Loctite perhaps)? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Youll need.....
A few lengths of fishing line.
A can of prepsol or similar to clean the areas.
A few rags.

Run the fishing line under the trim to slice through the glue/tape then use prepsol or thiners to remove the leftover glue and to clean the area.

Finally a coat of polish where you have applied the prepsol to seal the paint.

Use thin (1.5mm max) 3M double sided exterior tape to apply the new trims.

if it's just double sided tape the trims should just pull away easy.if they seem terribly hard to pull away by hand then someone has had it in for repair and they have re-stuck them on with sikaflex thats where the poster said with fishing line etc,etc comes in handy
