My mate is looking at buying a VS II Ute, he has spotted some 2nd hand rims that he likes but the seller reckons they were previously fitted to a VP Calais with IRS. Would the rim offset be correct going from VP IRS to VS solid axle?
The seller said it would be as before previous to the VP they were on a VS Maloo ute???
Jumping Commodores is the right thing to do... Flex is a good thing.
pretty sure it would be mate but not 100% sure. cant see why it would be different though
The offset is different between the models but it shouldn't be a big issue.
It may not be legal if its completely IRS VP offset (28p or whatever) as I think you can only change offset by about 10 or 12p.
VS should be between 38-43p. I'd say the rims would be a higher offset though, very few rims have an offset to suit VP IRS exactly. Most are higher around 35-40p so would probably fit the VS better than the VP the rims are currently on.
The normal offset wheels don't fit on the VP IRS, even 235s will rub pretty hard against the inner gaurd.
I guess everyone knows who Iveta B is by nowlol
