Planning a wash and shine. Even some tyre black for the donuts.

And if the sun is shining I may even get some good photos of the old girl in all her glory.

With the cost of replacment keys you would expect that they would already be GOLD.

For it's 21st I was thinking of the V8 convertion.

All but 16 days of its life

Just dragged out the first photo after we got the wagon home to Woomera

Got plenty of looks yep you are right. At the servo on the way home 3 people who new me in Pt Augusta swarmmed over the car. The VN had only been released for about 6 weeks or so

Hubcaps were the very first mod replaced with the update hubcaps wich were 1,000 times better.

Sorry first mod was the tyres. the 185's were replaced with 195 supercat II's after a few weeks. (the VB I had was running 235's x 15's)

The 185's just didn't cut it and on a rainy day I mounted the meadiam strip which scared me alot. Tyres were replaced. that day.

WOW, 20 years. congrats mine will be 20 in about 11 months time. should be a classic at 25

mine got a wee present today. fitted new rack end on the power steering rack (just gotta put it back in now but it's hosing down and i'm already soaked) then she's off for her wheel alignment tommorow

Spot on there. Could bear the thought of loosing the wagon after so much time and effort. And still such a great car to drive.

The true test for you Mack is how long can you keep the GTS for.........

I've only found 2 VN's older still running - but not the original owner.

So I'm going to make a big call and say the wagon IS the oldest VN with the original owner still on the road.

Yep - part of the family - and the car is a keeper. Even if at some time it has a rest from daily driving. It shall sit with a cover over it.

Next year it should get the V8 conversion. (the 8's are getting very cheap now)

Yes long time indeed - it has been on the chopping block 3 times in its life - so close to getting the bullet when it had the electrical meltdown a while back. And when the gun metal grey pain blistered after 6 months (after original azure silver and before Hot House Green). Then when it was rear ended this year.

But just could not say goodby after so long.
