I was thinkning of getting a bonnet bulge for my calais and just wanted to ask if anyone knows how difficult it is to install one. it comes with fixing screws but does it need to be moulded or does it just screw in?

What do you have under the bonnet that requires the extra space?

Before full body kits became all the rage - a "bonnet scoop" is what you had and maybe a front air dam too.

Id say you just mark out the centre of the bonnet on the inside. Make a cardboard patten of the shape and where the holes are going to go. Drill from under the bonnet up.

From all the scoops I've fitted (2) on cars it's just screwed on.

The Creative Car kit on my VB was - wait for it - pop riveted on.

Had to put screws in it when I got it home, after closing the bonnet for the first time it just about fell off.

Most come with bolts or thread glassed into them. You drill corresponding holes in your bonnet and then bolt them on with a nut and washer from the under side.
