    Default boss kit Dramas

    how the hell u get the VN steering wheel off ive taken the nut off wd40 the thing bashed it around the edges an even gave it a few hard hits from behied the wheel an dosnt wanna move a MM an the manual says not to hit the main shaft could damage the bearing but i gave it like ten light taps so hope it hasnt stuffed the bearing?, so any ideas been trying for like 2 hrs nearly cheers

    have you tried swearng and throwing a tantrum, usually works for me when things arent going right.

    sure you havent missed a tiny bolt or something really easy? other thenthat im unsure of what else there could be

    if you can give the shaft a few taps, preferrably with a drift punch like brass or something soft, and leave the nut on a few threads and absolutely reef on the wheel, pulling left to right and if still no good, get someone else to tap the nut or shaft while your pulling on wheel. keep nut on a couple threads or else you might have a sore head! most steering wheels are real tight like that

    you go and buy a cheap little steering wheel puller and it will be off in a few seconds.
    Just not worth the grief of not using it.

    real simple dude buy a steering removal tool bout 20 bucks from repco it will be of in five mins buddy

    true repco thinkin there dear as just to use it once i had banged on the main shaft
    or does it take a lot to srecw the bearing up but yeah im grabing a steering wheel puller morrow

    i've got one that i borrowed from a mate and never gave back, but i've used it heaps. you'd be surprised, i'd call them worth it.
