    Default Diff

    Howdy,

Think my diffs rooted, after being very smart NOT! and doing burnouts my diff has started to do twinnes of the line, and i have been told that, its because my diff is ready to give way,

    Is this true???

Anyone in here from Adelaide, know how to replace a diff??? rebuild one or whatever and any idea on how long it takes

if your diff is a single spinner and its "locked" now yes its on its way out.
Just get to mechanic before it breaks or u gonna need a tow.

it may last ages if you nanny it

A bloke in Lonsdale did mine and now has a whine in it at 80+. LSD part works great thou.

I'll find the name for you if he fixes my whine for me. Only lasted 8 months.

for the rebuild 900. - but that was for someone to take it out and back in too.

I have a complete diff single pegger at the wreckers they are storing for me.

Maybe you would like to have it for a small donation. I can ask Friday if you like.

It was a complete diff disk to disk - I used it in my car while the LSD was being rebuilt.

I think they billed me $150 for it back then - but I'd sell it for half that to a forum member. Just gotta make sure they have not sold it on me. I'll be seeing them on Friday.

It took me most of hte day to change the diff with a little help.
A helper with some strenght and skill would make it SOOOO much faster though.
had trouble with hand brake and brake line and movingthe heavy thing with only a lady to help me.

dude, seriously go the spool... my exact thoughts was "its going to hop like a bitch but oh well, atleast it will be reliable"... it doesn't even hop that much so its a win/win situation

and if your taking the centre out anyway?
