So i got a boot lip now for my calais. It seems to be made of a neoprene rubber type material. I'm guesing this a factory item? it looks genuine with gm numbers and stuff.
So whats the best way to prep and paint these. Obviously they seem prone to going soft and cracking paint.
Cheers Pub

Did you get the Holden one, or the HSV one?

If you cheat and use colour matched house paint then acrylic and damn thick as that stuff when built up thick is like plastic sheet.
Whats the diff between types?
I just assumed there was only one type of these boot lips.
Anyone got any pictures of the different types?
Flexible paint huh? so im guessing its not something i will doing at home but thats ok.
Heres a couple of mine ill take some more pics if anyone wants

Hey greenvn did he say that it will turn out ok? I would really like mine to be solid i was thinking of glassing over the top just enough to firm it up a bit.
I wouldnt mind seeing a tech sheet if you get a hold of one i'm sure the mounting points would be similar.
This is a good thread going here when searching i couldnt find any(worthwhile) info so its good to have one thread

Just saw the HSV style one being sold in the for sale section.

rub with 800wet, cover it with basecoat(no elasticiser needed) then clear it (add elasticiser again)
Thanks mate big help for those diagrams too
