Just a quick question.
Would it be possible to put a VT/VY 6 speed into a VN with the Buick?
or a 6 speed into a VN with an ecotec in it?
Cheers.

anything is possible, it really depends on how much you wanna spend. the big question really is why?
as much as the extra cog would be nice to have, the T56 is a fairly heavy box and heavy set of gears. probably not worth it behind a V6 unless it's a really tough little motor. why not go for the T5 conversion. i figure you would need a custom bell housing to fit one, then you need to mod the driveshaft and mount as well. you would also require a diff ratio change to suit the ratio's in 6 speed box

thanks for the reply. Say i chucked an ecotec in the vn, would i also be able to put a standard vn 5spd box in with out much trouble? Cheers

yep, any T5 (V6) will bolt onto the ecotec. if the box is out of a s1 VN (6 bolt) then you will need to find a VN s2 onwards flywheel (8bolt)
