Hi i have a 1991 s2 vn commodore it is duel fuel and it wont start.
I drove the car today without a problem but now all it does is turn over.
I checked to see if there is spark and there is.
I also thought it may have been flooded for some reason so i took the fuel pump fuse out and turned it over for ages but still with no luck.
Any one have any ideas, I miss my car already. :b:

do you have spark out of the spark plugs? or just the coil pack?
does it sputter at all? backfire?
my car gave up the ghost on me just like this last week.... bit sluggish one day then that afternoon .. nothing! it was the damned spark plugs!
lmao .. i pulled em out and would ya believe it.. holden original equipment. god knows how long theyve bin there for.. i havent changed em since purchase 3 years back.
Lol yeah i have spark at the sparkplug and it doesnt splutter or anything it wont even fire.
Really upset and confused

sounds weird, Kasey.....perhaps its only the plugs that are shot......get standard ones, and see how that goes.....can't think of anything else it could be......if it is the cas...do up the bolt/nut on the front of the harmonic balancer, and puor icy cold water over it...that coools the cas down....it might go then....you need a harmonic balancer puller to get the h.balancer off...sometines though, if you just loosen the nut, and belt it with a nylon mallet, it might come off.....then loosen the nut a bit more...etc etc....
ok stupid question have you checked you ingnition fuse relay what ever it is mine blew the fuse for it and all it did was turn over but not start replaced it and its been goin fine ever since
So theres spark. Wheres the fuel then? It's dual fuel right? How do you switch between them? Does one work and the other not etc. Injectors? Fuel pump fuse back in?
Ok i have checked all the fuses it doesnt start on gas or fuel.
About the switch well its just a switch that changes from fuel to gas lol.
If it was injectors they would all have to stuff up wouldnt they? to stop it from working.?

As I told ratty, to me it seems like the injectors aren't getting told to spit the fuel in.
Yeah the car is duel fuel it wont start on either i checked the injectors and discovered that while turning over the engine no fuel was comming out of the at all. So hooked the injectors straight up to power to make sure the injectors them selves were working and the opened up fine and heaps of fuel was comming through them, they are working fine.
All i think of cas but cant get the bloody thing out because of the harmonic balanser i cant get it off and my machanis doesnt open again till wednesday. :b:![]()

it's reallly starting to sound like the crank angle sensor mate....fun and joy...there are seveal types of harmonic balancer.... some are on a taper, and can be tapped off..others have 3 little slits on the front face...for a puller.....bugger of a job at the best of times....
yeah my luck lol i got the three slit one.

Hi me again i have no idea what it could be, the injesctors work when hooked up to straight power, I just bought a new crank angel sensor, and that aint the darm problem either.
The fuel pump works fine.
Im lost![]()

Ok at long last and after wasting money on parts that i didnt even need like fuel pump and cas, i found the problem.
It was a wiring problem between the computer and the gas switch, causing it to keep shorting out the computer.
So $75 and the electrician fixed it all up.
Thank god.![]()
