No you should really use a lowered shock you can use stock ones but they'll flog out real quick if they arent already. V6 and v8 use the same strut insert but a different spring, V8's run a heavy duty spring

pub, thanks 4 replying,I have made calls all day to the experts and they all tell me their is no such thing as a short anything 4 the front,u would have to have a shorter strut tube 4 the inner or it would not work, the top of the spring tower would still bottom out on the top of the strut, do u shorten the strut tubing ,did u mean u can buy a shorter strut 4 them

Lowered struts arent any shorter they just are more heavy duty and have a shorter track (they compress less) the strut insert (lowered shock) goes inside the strut tower and has a large nut that retains the shock. Plenty of companies sell lowered types shocks under different names. Pedders i think are their sports ryders ones monroe do a gt gas sports
these are sort of what you want pretty much the most expensive ones though

I replaced all my shocks with sensatrac short stroke shockers.
It was very low but the ride was better than any lowered car ive been in, well worth doing it properly instead of trying to be cool and just lowering your car without knowing too much about suspension systems!
