engine warning and alt lights
ok guys please dont rip me a new 1 for starting a new thread i've searched and searched but still cant figure it out........
recently removed engine to replace sump after hooking it all back up and starting
im getting both warning lights and my alt light comes on when key is off and out
ive checked codes and its comin up code 12 all ok
ive gone over looking for any shorts or loose wires only thing i can find is alt plug is missin its little clip....
any suggestions would be appreciated
Gday Mate, I have some simple things to do which you may have already done. Remolve the ENG COMP fusible link from the fusible link housing under the bonnet near the relays for 10 seconds and run the motor at 3000rpm for 10 seconds and check the hose for cracks which run to the MAP sensor. Hope this helps.
cheers mate, iv already reset ecu but i'll check that hose also can any 1 tell me what the
red warning light with ! in the middle is a actually a warning for also what damage would be caused by having a injector plug on the alt and vice versa

Mate the ! is your park brake light i would check the button under your hand peice and make sure it is wired up or maybe faulty
umm no the "!" symbol is the breaks and the "(P)" symbol is the park break
