just wondering any tips or tricks to undoing the bolt that holds the harmonic balancer on my 5ltr, also is the bolt thread reverse or normal?
im just having trouble getting the bolt off so i can put a new balancer on.

after youve taken the belts off, get a breaker bar and either lean it on the ground or jam it in the side if the rail/body, crank the motor once and it ill crack the bolt fr you. When doing it all back up, grab the belts after youve put them on and you can do the bolt up a bit more by pulling the belts in the opposite direction.
And no its not reverse thread.
im guessing you have vibration coming from the front of the motor for you to be replacing it? before you pull it off give it a wigle to see if it really is the harmonic, ive seen even the fan/waterpump pulley on the front of the motor be responsible for vibration...
im replacing water pump, harmonic balancer, new belts and putting in twin thermo's so whatever it is this should get rid of it
