    Default rear taillight fixture ,part number...

    i got a 91 vp executive model, i went and got a new right side tail light fixture,but it dosent fit D: . the part number on it says GM 92031384 R. have i got the wrong one? sorry im not very good with cars. any help much appreciated. i noticed on my left side rear lights the number is 92031385, should that be same number i needed for right side? thankyou

    so its just the tail light? or are you talking about the tail light wiring loom?

    It's possibly a non-genuine replica. In what way does it not fit? One of mine, non-genuine, needed the top edge trimming with a hacksaw blade so as to allow the tail light seal to be compressed against the car body when the nuts are tightened.

    There will be several different lights; smoked, non-smoked Exec., Berlina, Calais, Statesman but all should fit the car body if genuine (GMH).

    its just the tail light ,genuine part ,going try put in on again tmorro.the old one fits in place nice and easy , but the new one just wouldnt .should a new one just easily pop into place? i cant get it in so all the screws are right thru. thx for the replys. i'll see how i go.

    They should just go straight on...Have changed mine a few times and had no problems...

    it should fit in no worries. this may sound stupid but the reverse lamp wiring isnt fouling on the lamp itself. because by memory it runs around the outside of the car back inside. if that makes sense.
