Need some pictures to make a close estimate.

V8s are good for over 300,000k's, but keep in mind you'll be up for replacing some items.
Also, insurance will be alot more than a normal calais, due to the HSV plate.

If its white, don't buy it, its recently been in a smash (its 2nd big one at that)

i doubt he'll take 3500 for it. If he does, its the smashed one i reffered to for sure.

Not the one i was talking bout that had the 2 smashes, so thats a good thing.

Even for 5k, thats a bargain for SA prices. I'd snap it up straight away if you have your heart set on it. Personally i'd find another one in a different colour.

Dont pay more than $4000-$4500 imo, especially if it doesnt come with rego or rwc (and make sure it comes with the HSV engine, some dont). To be honest it doesnt look that great, if you want a HSV enhanced Calais, look for a better looking one with some rims, lowered and a good exhaust system at least, they go for around the same price (that way you save cash on modding it later on).
I agree with wildss on that VT calais badge, it looks absolutely revolting, take it off straight away, lol i cant believe someone would put that on a VP

Keep in mine were from SA. Prices vary very differntly betwwen our state and yours.

We don't have RWC, just normal rego.

And it just needed something fitted at HSV to give it the enhanced title, so chances are that it doesn't have the 180kw engine package (which is just computer and exhaust, you can make more power with an aftermarket system)

    Some people have different tastes.

I have late model badges on my car (the international one on my dash, and replaced the rear one with a VX one, as it has a chrome backing, not black)

the original VP calais sales brochure, which i cleverly bought off ebay, says that HSV enhanced Calais came with a V8. There was no V6 HSV enhancements available from the manufacturer...unless the dude you're buying it off took the car to HSV himself

from the looks of it tho, that's just a plain old stock-standard VP Calais
