stick your hands between the top and bottom section of the seats and lift the back of the bottom seat and sort of slide the front towards the back of the car (god i hope that made sense).
there will be 2 10mm self tappers holding the top section on, ramove them and lift the top up releasing it from the hooks.
not sure about the washer switch
might not be ur switch could be the the pump on the washer bottle , might be stuffed![]()
hmmm, to kind of expand on what wildss said this is what i do.
Get in the back of the car facing the back. stick ya hands in the gap and pull the back of the bottom part of the seat out. There's a wire part of the frame of the bottom seat that hooks into two hooks about a third in on each side, so then kinda put a lot of force with one knee onto the seat pushing it towards the back of the car. It'll spring up and you'll know when it's out, then do the other side.
You might be able to put your covers on the back bit witout taking it out completely, I didn't take mine out to get my covers on
Edit: yea, pull the plug off the pump that's clipped into the reservoir and stick a multimeter in it on volts. See if you get 12V there or not, that's prolly the best first step
I had a similar problem with my windscreen washer switch, where despite changing the switchblock with another it refused to work. It eventually turned out that the metal strip on the back of the washer switch was not touching (this was the case for both of my switchblocks, lol), if u dont know what im talking about, take out your switchblock and look at the back of the washer switch, when you press the washer button in, a metal strip is touched. Make sure it doesnt have any muck on it, and bend it back until it is properly touching the washer button when it is depressed. It should work then.
If thats not the problem, with the wipers still working when you press the button and the pump is working (if you hear a buzzing noise its working), then its time for a clean of the hoses and nozzles. Take the black rubber hoses off the bonnet nozzles, and see if they flow water. If not (unlikely), clean them out using some flexible rod of some kind. If they do flow water, then its the nozzles that are the culprit - Take them off and blow through them, if no air is going through then its blocked hard. Use a needle and push them through the little nozzle holes, until you can do the aforementioned air test successfully.
Hope this helps
thanks guys for the advice, i'll look into it
