Gday guys,

just thought id share
aled.
Hey guys,
I already stuck this up in another part of the website, but seeing as its a VN, i reckon it should go here too.
(let me know if im not allowed to do this sort of thing unless i want the mods crapping on me)
Anyway,
its a gorgeous '90 VN Group A with a genuine 32,000kms on the odometer!!

I wouldnt mind calling it my own haha.
how much do you guys think it will go for?
what do we think the final sale price will be?
do you reckon it'll make reserve?
very nice but its a shame these have the ugly vn dash...other wise very mint
To me it just looks like a normal VN with a respray and bodykit, and the 215kw engine thrown in. The interior looks like **** though with that trim, it needs a nice leather two-tone Calais interior imo. And to think theres a bid of $45k and the reserve still hasnt been met. I wouldnt pay more than $10k for it but i guess thats just me.
do you have any idea what a group A SS is?
1. the colour is better than any other VN. kit is best kit available for a VN/VP
2. 220kw 5 litre. not a 215kw 5.7. twin throttle manifold is worth 5k alone.
3. this interior sh*ts all over a calais interior. seats are sports style and more like a senator, with a better material than a calais, and has most if not all calais electrics anyway. VN-VS leather is bloody horrible and the velour is heaps better
4. its a race car. probably the closest thing you could buy that was actually used on a circuit
5. its a collectors item. these things are worth 50k at least, and the value will only go up. ask pretty much anyone here and they would know what a group A is

ive got a plan... win the lottery and buy it! its a water tight plan![]()
I know what a Group A SS is, all I'm saying is that in my honest opinion it does not look that good, especially the interior, even if it is better quality than the Calais, I like the colour and look of the Calais interior more (Come on, the standard grey plastics are shocking for a flagship HSV model). And reiterating what I said earlier, from the surface it simply looks like a muzzed up VN with a good bodykit. There are plenty of imitations on the road in my area. Its no doubt a beast of a car underneath, I'm not denying that.
To give you a heads up though, you should get your facts right before you attack others, VN Group A's have a 215kw engine, not a 220kw engine as you stated.
wtf. there was no ****ing attack. yeah youre right, it is 215kw. how is this the HSV flagship anyway? this is back when HSV was still beginning and had about 50 different HSV variations in the VN range. what would you expect them to do for the interior? create a completely new one for a one off model? no. it was a race car. theyve already put velour on the door trims, from the looks of it, which is above most VN models, and thats good enough. dont forget the 6 speed manual, and 4 bolt mains engine
if you think its just a muzzed up VN, then good for you, you dont know much about these cars.

very mint vn, i rekon the reserve will be about 50k... i hope he gets it i would love to by it if i could
its stolen no number plateshahaha jokes lol looks pretty mint ey but personally i think its still a VN
i'd buy it if i had plenty of money in my bank account![]()
The Group A was considered a performance milestone for back then, it wasnt a 'flagship' it was the highest tier of HSV,(forgot how many they made, probably like 100) the twin throttle and ZF 6 speed have become collectors items that people wont even sell for any ammount.
What kind of road car made factory has twin throttles and 6 speed with a 215kw motor oh yeah a massive performance orientated car, that was the W427 years ago and could be the best HSV ever and is priceless.
Trust me in years to come this car will be a collectors item
