    Default What injectors 4 v6 stroker

    Hey all.

    I have a VN, I have put a VR motor in it and have stroked it, 030" oversize, Heaps of head work, port matched everything, 70mm throttle body, CAI, 3.55 LSD etc

    Here are the Cam specs
    Duration @ 050" is int-222, exh-232

    Lobe lift - int-.317, exh-333

    Valve Lift - int-.507, exh-.533

    Lobe Center Separation is 113

    I have just run it in and im about to get it tuned. What im asking is what injectors would go great with the setup. Im thinking V6 magna, but im not sure.

    what is everyones thoughts

    the stock injectors are probably fine. however you may wanna get em ultrasonically cleaned first. another option is to fit late model injectors as they give a better spray pattern for better fuel atomisation (and hence better fuel burn and more power ) the later model injectors however run at 3.5bar fuel pressure and your run at 3bar so you will need to get a fuel regulator to suit the higher pressure

    what injectors would you say. how much better are later model injectors.
    anymore info on injectors would be great

    i'm certainly no expert on injectors. from what little research i have done i know that the VN injectors only produce a good spray pattern over a very narrow fuel pressure range, go outside this pressure range and the spray pattern turns to **** which effects fuel atomisation and so on and so forth. from what i've been told the later model injectors generally have a better spray patern to begin with and have a much broader operating range but they do operate at the higher pressure. not sure how your VR injectors go.

    personally i've gone away from the bosch designed injectors, these run a pintle/seat design thats not that reponsive. i'm now going to the disc design, these have a faster responce time, are suppose to produce a better spray pattern and can run to a higher % duty cycle before the injector starts to flutter. when i bought mine they were also cheaper then the equivalent bosch style injectors. guess i'll find out once i fit em in my ride
