Q=how do you change drive belt tensioner only

I want to know how to change the drive belt tensioner(if you can remove the nut holding the wheel that the fan belt is tensioned with) if one can ?

yeh u can remove the nut its a reverse thread though - good luck its onthere tight as... take the belt off first

thanks ,but what do you mean when you mentioned its a reverse thread? to undo the nut do I go anti clock or clock wise ?

yeh same as a gas bottle thread - what u would normally tighten is actually loosening ............... turn right to loosen left to tighten.


think by memory u put a spanner on and pulll it left to release tension to get belt off - once done use same spanner and turn right to loosen nut

you got it right (or left in this case ) it is a lefthand thread so you want to turn the spanner in a clockwise direction to loosen it. it is bloody tight also.
