there was a vs wagon and a sedan on ebay ages ago with the rb25 in them. ooo get an rb26i havent heard of one of them in a commodore except VL's..
2JZ 2JZ *claps hands *
SIR LS1
the two ton go kart
change the k frame to a vl k frame pretty much bolts straight up
rb25's are the wooorrrssssstttttttt
yeh rb25 will fit & pretty much bolt in as Zuicider said.
biggest hassles will be wiring, tailshaft, cooler piping and exhaust... but they're not huge hurdles to get over.
There was a guy not too long ago on these forums that chucked a rb25 in his VN, - he then put a big turbo on there and wound the boost up, which led him down the 1/4 in about 10 seconds!
how would you know? jks
Oh I'm just guessing!
but I'm serious about the 10 sec rb25 vn! .... it's even the same colour as mine lol
10.6sec VN
made ace power and times!!
If you have some kind of monetary restriction, why go the 2j/1j when the rb series is pretty much bolt in and can get results like this? ^^
Plus remember, because it's all bolt in, it will be easier (or possibly even un-necessary) to get an engineers cert.
since you have so much time on your hands wouldnt it be a good idea to drill out the head for the twin cam 4 valve top end instead of keeping the single cam 2 v head? its suppoised to be a jap motor, they ruled out single cams years and years ago
and i just looked at that link, imagine what a twin t/b would do power wise.....
What time? I have to cut down on sleep to get everything I need donesince you have so much time on your hands wouldnt it be a good idea to drill out the head for the twin cam 4 valve top end instead of keeping the single cam 2 v head? its suppoised to be a jap motor, they ruled out single cams years and years ago
I thought about the twin cam head... that will come later down the track, along with a gt42 or similar- so I've still got a fair bit of room to move if I win the lottery and get sick of the current combo - I've got to draw the line somewhere for now!
But In the meantime there's been plenty of SOHC rb30's that have made absolutely stupid power - more than enough to be completely unusable on the street!
