    i dunno, just doesnt look rite... im just suprised that, if it is original, it doesnt have a reserve on it

    strange, lexan is spelt wrong. toyota lexcen is the right spelling.

    maybe they chose to spice it up a bit.

    if its a fake, its a bloody good one. those wheels are hard to get.


    edit: maybe theyve gotten hold of a hdt plate and stamped it themselves. would hdt be upto 4285 build number by then? could explain the bad spelling

    doesnt seem to have the tag in the right place, looks like its on the strut tower not on the firewall part

    its probably a fake, that spelling mistake is just plain stupid otherwise it would be very hard to tell if it was a fake, its pretty cheap though so it doesnt really matter if its fake or not as it looks pretty good

    Yea i dont think its fake, looks fair decent other than the fact Lexcen is spelt Lexen lol maybe they did a mispelling on the car when they made it ahaha

    I'm calling fake! The built plate doesn't even look like the ones i've seen on other aeros.

    what it could be is someone's found a blank hdt build plate and had it engraved to make it look authentic for themselves or if they ever wanted to sell it like now. and lexcens were just made because toyota were forced to sell them as toyotas by the button plan. if hdt ever modified vn commodores like this let alone a lexcen i'd be surprised. and the misspelling is a dead giveaway in the first place

    *Crash pad badge is wrong
    *His story is wrong, by the VN era HDT didn't sell complete cars you had to buy a holden and take it to them. I have seen everything from exec based aeros to SS and berlina ones. Not selling cars to Brock cheap..........what did he have to do with it

    I say it's just a mockup with a few badges/build plates and an expensive set of wheels...........if they are the 17" ones and not the 16"

    can then check with HDT i guess and see where that stands

    Ummmm what's your point? That's talking about the old HDT, that brock was running that built up to the early VL. He had nothing to do with the VN Aero range.

    if i can add a build plate to my strut top and misspell it i think i might go order a plate off ebay and make mine the only vn group a v6

    They offered both mate. At that point in time with HDT you simply purchased your commodore, what ever type you wanted, and took it to them to be made into an Aero. As such the spec levels vary from one build to another.
    The V6 one was fitted with a full exhaust and tune with a claimed power output of something like 150kw from memory while the V8 was 200kw or something like 250kw if you went all out.

    The tag doesn't look like its stamped looks more like its engraved, anyone care to elaborate (are they usually stamped or engraved on real ones)
