It's a crank adapter from CRS, about $338? i think when i bought it, or a complete custom flywheel for around $600. Only way its going to happen without a crank swap.

Too bad your in adelaide, i got a S1 manual engine in the garage

Well ill take your word on that cause i dont know how much there worth but i know there rare, and that puts the price up to begin with.

Anyway i was just pointing out that his not putting in a S2 engine in my last post that's all, not meaning disrespect you or anything.

I have a series 1 engine possibility, which is why i was asking about auto to manual becuase i have an auto series 1 engine i may be able to get my hands on but i wasnt sure if it wud suit a manual transmission.

I made that clear as the thread question right guys?

"Is it possible to fit a engine that was from an automatic transmisison, into a car that has a manul transmission?"

to use a s1 auto engine you need to purchase extra parts to fit it up.
the back of the crank is a little differnt.
other option is a s2 engine with harness and computer with manual flywheel.
s2 up had the same crank on the lot, but it is still different to the s1 engines.

short answer is no not with out costing a heap extra.

Ok, so you currently have a S1 manual VN with all S1 bits and you want to change the engine, thats what i gathered?

You can do one of the following,

    Using a S1 manual engine:
    1.easy, stright swap.

    Using a S1 auto engine:
    1. Buy a crank adapter from CRS around $300
    2. Buy a custom flywheel from CRS around $600
    3. Change the crank to a S1 type, in other words from your old engine.

    Using S2 onward engine:
This is proberly the hardest (apart from crank swap) because it involes changing more then just the engine.

Personal if would be easiest to find a S1 manual enigine anless you find a good value S1 auto engine and dont mind paying for either a crank adpater or custom flywheel.
